About this talk
The stigma imprinted into our way of thinking about cannabis via the decades of propaganda and misinformation has been overshadowing the medical cannabis industry from the early days.
Medical professionals and other industry participants face this stigma as discrimination and other forms of judgement on a regular basis.
Many of our speakers share their thoughts on how this stigma affects their work, their patients and how we could work on moving beyond the stigma associated with medical cannabis.

Dr Dev Banerjee is a Specialist in Sleep Medicine with over 20 years' experience. His previous posts include Sleep Physician and Service Lead in Birmingham UK, St Vincents Hospital Sydney, Woolcock Institute University of Sydney and now currently Medical Director at Lullaby Sleep in the Central Coast NSW.
Paul Mavor
Paul is a registered Australian and UK pharmacist. The company he founded Health House International (ASX:HHI) was granted the first medicinal cannabis import license in Australia in 2017.

Dr Carrie Newbold is a medical researcher, who has conducted and led applied medical research within a medical device field for close to 20 years, in both academic and commercial environments.

Dr John Teh
Dr John Teh Medical Director and Educator of PlantMed Medical Cannabis Clinic has been working within the Medicinal Cannabis industry since the legalisation of cannabis for medicinal use in Australia in February 2016.
Chloe Jean Teh
